Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD:
Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love the LORD thy
God with all thine heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy might.
Consent/agree
Children of Israel (which those grafted / adopted into the commonwealth of Israel are included): The Existing One / I Am,
our God is one Existing One: (One Spirit)
You shall love the LORD your God with all
your heart, understanding, conscience, inclination, soul, abundance,
might, passion and emotions.
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto
Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt
thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Clearly
in the
scriptures there is one Spirit [divine], and one God, and one
Lord. If Jesus is Lord, and the Father (in the Old Testament) is
Lord, and there is only one Lord, then when we say Lord we should know
who we are talking to.
John 14:7-9 (New Living Translation) If you had known who I am, then you would
have known who my Father is. From now on you know him and have seen
him!" Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and we will be
satisfied." Jesus replied, "Philip, don't you even yet know who I
am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen
me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him?
Mark 12:36-37 (New Living
Translation) For David himself, speaking under the inspiration of
the Holy Spirit, said, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit in honor at my
right hand until I humble your enemies beneath your feet.' Since
David himself called him Lord, how can he be his son at the same time?"
And the crowd listened to him with great interest.
Acts 22:6-8
(New
Living Translation) As I was on the road, nearing Damascus, about noon a very bright light from heaven suddenly
shone around me. I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to
me, `Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?' `Who are you, sir?'
I asked. And he replied, `I am Jesus of Nazareth, the one you are persecuting.'
John 20:8 (New
Living Translation) "My Lord and my God!" Thomas exclaimed.
Ephesians 4:5-6
(New
Living Translation) There is only one Lord, one faith, one
baptism, and there is only one God and Father, who is over us all and
in us all and living through us all.
When
commanded to baptize in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the
Apostles knew who this was. They knew the Father, Son and Holy
Spirit, who are that one Spirit, is
Jesus. That is why the scriptures only record the Apostles
baptizing in that name. See Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:5, Luke 24:47, etc.
Matthew 28:19 (New
Living Translation) Therefore, go and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and the Son and the
Holy Spirit.
Some
ignorantly say, the Israelites honored the Lord (the Father) on the
seventh day of the week. They also say the New Testament Church
honors the Lord (the Son / Jesus Christ) on the first day of the
week. Don't you know there is only one Lord [and only one
Spirit]! There is one
day to honor the one Lord, the seventh day sabbath!
Ephesians
4:4(a) There is one body, and one Spirit
The
consecrated day belongs to the Lord Jesus (our only [one] Lord and
[one] Spirit).
Mark
2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
The
seventh-day Sabbath is His Holy Day. (See Isaiah 58:13)
John 1:3 All things were made
by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
The seventh-day Sabbath is His Holy
Day. (See Isaiah 58:13)
If
Jesus is my Lord, why am I cursing Him by resisting what He made for
us? (Condemning / bringing evil on his possession is to curse /
vex our Lord).
Mark 2:27 And he
said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the
sabbath:
Now that He died and gave Inheritance to those that believe, do
we no longer need to remember He is our creator and justifier?
The answer is a no-brainer, our faith in Him is our only hope. He
gave us a sign to
remember He is our liberator. We should be more than happy to
receive such a token of remembrance, and a place for our Lord to rest
with us.
Ezekiel 20:12 Moreover also I
gave them
my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know
that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
