Do
Not Boil Your Kid
In Its Mother’s Milk

Exodus 23:19 The
first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of
the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
Exodus 34:26
The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the
house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's
milk.
If the lump were to destroy / curse the leaven, the tithe / seed /
first fruit, then there will be no leavening the lump. Increase
of the lump will cease with the destruction of the seed. If we
bless / sanctify the root, the root will bless the branch. The
branch lives or dies by the mercy of the root (See John 15:4-6).
If our tithe is holy, then our whole increase is holy. (See
Romans 11:18).
Romans 11:16 For if the firstfruit be
holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the
branches.
Deuteronomy 14:21b-22 Thou
shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk. Thou shalt truly
tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year
by year.
If we were to strive to sanctify our Lord, whereby He will sanctify our
increase, we would ensure our leaven / tithe / seed / first fruit /
catalyst of sanctification were hid in the Kingdom of Heaven (See
Matthew 6:19-21). Which is greater, the branches or the root that
upholds the branches? Again, which is greater, the lump or the
leaven that sanctifies the lump?
Matthew 13:33
Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto
leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the
whole was leavened.
Matthew
23:17b for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that
sanctifieth the gold?
Matthew 23:19b
for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the
gift?
Galatians 5:9
A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
If we sanctify / bless our Heavenly Father, He will bless us to live
our full numbers of days (See Exodus 23:26 & Ephesians
6:2-3). One way to sanctify Him is to be pious toward what He has
sanctified, such as by not desecrating the Sabbath / Shabbat.
Additionally, we honor our Lord when we give tithes and generous
offering.
Galatians 6:6 (NASB) The one who is
taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches
him.
Tithes were instituted / set up before Law, therefore are not abolished
by a change in administration / covenant. Before the Law, Abraham
gave a tenth part of all to the King of Righteousness, who is Ancient
of Days (See Hebrews 7:2-3). There was not a Levitical priesthood
/ Levitical Law (the patriarch Levi was not even born yet and Abraham
hadn’t been circumcised). Nevertheless, even the house of Levi
paid tithes, through Abraham. (You may also want to see Nehemiah
10:38).
Hebrews 7:4 Now
consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham
gave the tenth of the spoils.
Hebrews
7:9-10 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed
tithes in Abraham. For he was yet in the loins of his father,
when Melchisedec met him.
If we are not irreverent toward God, but instead love Him with all our
heart, soul, mind and strength, we would gladly give to God as Abraham
did through Melchizedek (See Hebrews 7:4) and also as Jacob gave to God
(See Genesis 28:20-22). It is necessary to love the Lord
wholeheartedly to inherit eternal life (See Luke 10:25-28, Matthew
19:17 and Acts 5:32).
When finances seem to become problematic, many choose to obey the voice
of the adversary, as spoken by Job's wife to “curse God, and
die”. That’s what we are doing when we steal His tithes and
offerings. When we fail to be virtuous toward Him, we are
invoking evil on Him and His Kingdom, and bringing death upon
ourselves. In like manner, when we choose to lay waste to the
Lord’s holy day, which is also His possession, we are bringing harm on
Him, thereby on ourselves.
Job
2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain
thine integrity? curse God, and die.
Malachi 3:8-11 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say,
Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are
cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole
nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there
may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of
hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a
blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And
I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the
fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before
the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
To prove him [trustworthy], as charged in Malachi 3:10, we must first
take action (See Hebrews 4:2). We must act / step out in
faith. Belief must be established with action of obedience to be
true faith. Without works faith is dead (See James 2:17 &
26). Faith is made alive / complete / substantiated [testimony /
evidence of reliance on God is made manifest] when joined with actions
of obedience toward what is hoped for. What is hoped for is then
established / confirmed in heaven (by our acknowledged agreement with
the Word) (See Matthew 18:18 and Romans 10:11).
Hebrews
11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the
evidence of things not seen.
Hope with work towards hope is a witness / evidence of true belief
(Also see Romans 8:24). If we want what Word promised, we must
bare witness to the truth. Therefore having a valid promise /
word of God combined with the presentation of true belief, to bare
witness to the Word through righteous actions (a charge sustained by 2
or 3 witnesses [the Word bares witness to itself]), having faith in the
Word (See Romans 10:17), it will be performed. On the evidence of
two or three witnesses, let every charge be sustained (See Deuteronomy
19:15b & 2 Corinthians 13:1).
Deuteronomy 19:15b at the mouth of two
witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be
established.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the
son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do
it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Have you said I can’t afford to tithe (through words or deeds)?
If so, then you need your lump to increase. Be sure not to
consume your leaven along with your lump. (Don’t boil you kid in
its mother’s milk). You need to leaven your lump.
Concerning tithes, the leaven is the Lord’s. Put His Word to the
test and see if he will pour out a blessing.
The Law taught not to consume the seed along with the harvest ("Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his
mother's milk"). This teaching by the school teacher
upheld sound sowing and reaping principles, which is necessary
spiritually as well as naturally. A farmer must ensure he has
enough seed to sow a crop next season so there may be a harvest.
We must be sure we respect the part that leavens the lump.
