Frenemies:  The King Of Syria Has Escaped!
(The Blind Are Leading The Blind)
Compiled by Brother L. Harrell

Romans 5:8   But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:10   For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

2 Chronicles 16:9(a)   For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.

I see images / pictures of modern-day self proclaimed "Apostles" (as well as some divinely appointed apostles [a.k.a. bishops]), the human leaders of the church of the day, which often are proudly dressed in their contemporary priestly robes.  I hear them speaking of how awesome our Lord is (and I agree).  Then I look up at their faces and see eye glasses on many of them.  What is this?!  (What is that device attached to their faces?)

I ask myself when I see the "Apostles" pose, are they not the top of the church hierarchy, the cream of the crop?  Many times I've seen people search frantically throughout their personal items searching for their eye glasses, for they virtually blinded without them!  (Like a lamed man searching for his crutch).

Where is the power?  Where is the deliverance?  Where are the "greater works"?  (I see a big fluffy hamburger bun, but where's the beef?)  Why are their eyes in bondage to the adversary?  Many of the elect assume, if the "cream of the crop" is bound, how can I expect to be free?  The adversary delivers another evil report.

Note: With all due respect, this has been written to rebuke the evil reports.  No disrespect intended to the many benevolent medical professionals.  No disrespect intended to those that have labored unselfishly in the faith, and praise God for their labor.  Except for God's grace, I and others would be nowhere in the faith except that the path was prepared for me by our modern-day patriarchs and faithful lay brethren.  It is nice to give the elders honor (and no disrespect is meant), but we need some mercy (this is written as an appeal for mercy, not in contempt).  I am convinced the Lord does not disapprove of me writing this.  However, I am sure that man disapproves.  I applaud the many servants that have trusted the Lord, and their health has prevailed, leaving a testimony for the world that God is who He says He is.

The reason why so many of the elect are wearing eye glasses is plain and simple, no faith [in that area].  If the Lord is not trusted for something such as seeing where one is going, how will He be trusted for other essentials?  This is literally the blind leading the blind.  It would be good if the priestly robes that are worn were robes of faith.  That would be to the glory of God.

Luke 6:39   And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

How can the blind openly triumph over the adversary when they can't see?  A blind man would think "the adversary is helping me see".  Blind man, don't be deceived, the fallen one recorded in Genesis 3:4 telling Eve "You surely will not die!" is the same one telling you it is okay not to see.

John 8:36 (NLT)  So if the Son sets you free, you will indeed be free.

Instead of the world seeing the elect of the Lord "walking on water", being blessed with signs and wonders to the glory of God, in many cases the unbelieving are sitting side-by-side with the people of God in the doctors' office that is owned and operated by the faithless apostate church (the physicians' office often is an over glorified temple of the devil, giving glory to the devil).  Hear this elect of God: there is only One that we should bow down to (there is just one Lord).

Isaiah 42:6-8   I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;  To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.  I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

1 Corinthians 12:27   Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Deuteronomy 6:4  Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

When the doctor is done dissecting and experimenting on the elect [in addition to taking all their money purposed for the chosen to save the world], the doctors will give glory to themselves, their institution, their drugs and their revolutionary equipment (believing that without most or all of the above, you would be doomed).  If a physician or [anyone else] attempts to allure you from trusting God for something God has intention for you to trust Him for, they are going against the Word of God.

After the doctor receives his own glory, the elect then give testimony of how the Lord delivered them from their enemy.  The unsaved being unimpressed, only see the King of Syria riding away on his white horse, having saved your skin again.  If the world was impressed, likely they would be found worshiping the Lord in the House of the Lord.  Much of the "healing" the church receives in the doctor's office, the world also receives.  What is impressive about that?  Where is my Lord's glory He deserves?  Due to the two opinions the Church walks in, it should be no surprise to see the world worshipping the King of Syria (side by side with the church members).

If God is almighty and I am His friend, an heir with inheritance, then why am I found eating in the temple of the apostate church?  (Indecisiveness is unbelief.  What ever does not proceed from faith is sin [See Romans 14:23]).  My actions are teaching the world and the weak elect to rely on the chariots of Syria and Egypt.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Isaiah 31:1   Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

Isaiah 2:22 (NLT) Stop putting your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. How can they be of help to anyone?

King Asa should have called on the Lord, sanctifying Him, but instead called on an adversary:

At that time Hanani the seer came to King Asa and told him, "Because you have put your trust in the king of Aram instead of in the LORD your God, you missed your chance to destroy the army of the king of Aram.  Don't you remember what happened to the Ethiopians and Libyans and their vast army, with all of their chariots and horsemen?  At that time you relied on the LORD, and he handed them all over to you.  The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been!  From now on, you will be at war."  (2 Chronicles 16:7-9 [NLT])

In the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa developed a serious foot disease. Even when the disease became life threatening, he did not seek the LORD's help but sought help only from his physicians. So he died in the forty-first year of his reign.  (2 Chronicles 16:12-13 [NLT])

When we should be using our provisions the Lord blessed us to receive for His Glory, we instead find ourselves using it to strengthen our adversary, who will be waiting to attack us and our brothers another day.  (Can you say "oxymoron"?)

2 Chronicles 16:1-3 (NLT) In the thirty-sixth year of Asa's reign, King Baasha of Israel invaded Judah and fortified Ramah in order to prevent anyone from entering or leaving King Asa's territory in Judah. Asa responded by taking the silver and gold from the treasuries of the LORD's Temple and from the royal palace. He sent it to King Ben-hadad of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus, along with this message:  "Let us renew the treaty that existed between your father and my father. See, I am sending you a gift of silver and gold. Break your treaty with King Baasha of Israel so that he will leave me alone."

King Ahaziah, son of King Ahab, learned the hard way that it is best to trust the Lord:

2 Kings 1:6 (NLT) They replied, "A man came up to us and said, 'Go back to the king and give him this message from the LORD: Why are you sending men to Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether you will get well?  Is there no God in Israel?  Now, since you have done this, you will never leave the bed on which you are lying, but you will surely die.'"

If the Lord called me to preach the gospel, do not I have to read His Word?  Is it not His will that I read His Word? (In addition to seeing where I am going?)  Why am I going (in many cases) to the ministers of the apostate church to see so I can do what God has called me to do?

If we believe the Lord for a new arm or leg (if the old one is damaged or missing), that is what we will receive.  If we believe man for a prosthetic / artificial arm or leg, that is what we will receive.  It is our choice to let the Lord get glory by blessing us or not.  As many of choose to remain physically disabled
ambassadors for Christ, consider how the Lord views mutilated, crippled and sick offerings. (See Malachi 1:8-9)  If the Lord promised to give us whatever we ask, why do we remain mutilated and sick?

Malachi 1:8-9 (NASB) "But when you present the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil?  And when you present the lame and sick, is it not evil?  Why not offer it to your governor?  Would he be pleased with you?  Or would he receive you kindly?" says the LORD of hosts.  "But now will you not entreat God's favor, that He may be gracious to us?  With such an offering on your part, will He receive any of you kindly?" says the LORD of hosts.

Exodus 15:26(c)  for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Jeremiah 8:22(a)   Is there no balm in Gilead

When the Lord is ready, willing and well able to tell a person what is wrong with their body, or other dilemmas, many seem determined to receive counsel from the ungodly (or from those who are not acknowledging the Lord for the answer).

While held captive, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego abstained from eating what would have defiled them, and as a result of trusting the Word of the Lord, they looked healthier and better nourished than those that received what was believed to be the best for them by the ones assigned to attend to their well-being.

Daniel 1:8 (NLT) But Daniel made up his mind not to defile himself by eating the food and wine given to them by the king. He asked the chief official for permission to eat other things instead.

Daniel 1:15 (NLT) At the end of the ten days, Daniel and his three friends looked healthier and better nourished than the young men who had been eating the food assigned by the king.

Those that trust and obey the Lord will surely be healthier than those that do not.

Am I through my example ministering to the apostate church(s) or they ministering to me?  Are you laying hands on the sick or are the sick laying hands on you?

Matthew 20:28   Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
